Product Description Scientists have long known that chemical communication influences how animals develop, mate, bond, and nurture their offspring. Human animals are no exception. Chemical communication via odors and subliminal scents -- sex attractants and pheromones -- can accelerate puberty, control women's menstrual cycles, and even influence sexual orientation. Our ability to detect and respond to chemical signals helps us distiguish family members and lovers from strangers and helps to establish the mother-infant bond. Scent affects how often we have sex, and with whom. Chemical signals influence brain development, memory, and how we learn. Odors are the spice of life. Grounded in solid scientific research, yet maintaining an easy-to-read style, "The Scent of Eros" is an engrossing read on a whole new world under our noses!

Scent of Eros links pheromones and human sexuality August 9, 2009 Ronald M. Podell (Los Angeles, CA USA) Very good intro to this field especially for those with some background in biological sciences. Book a little fragmented in presentation and a bit loose with some associations but there is a good deal of take out info that is useful or surely interesting. I think it is important for anyone connected to the human sexuality field.
